Funfetti Cake Mix Cookie Jar Gift

I love the concept of mason jar gifts and the vast array of giftable options that fall into that category, especially for the holiday season! 

A gift that is both fun and functional is right up my alley. And best of all, this one is SIMPLE! The holidays can be hectic enough as is, and gift giving doesn't have to be. I made sure to push the easy button when compiling this gift. Making it easy to gift, easy to put to use, and easy to recreate!

Funfetti Cake Mix Cookie Jar Gift

Ingredients / Materials 

+ Funfetti Cake Mix (I used this Christmas one)

+ Festive Sprinkles (I used a blend of a few kinds, one being this jar)

+ A Mason Jar with Lid (one like this would be perfect)

+ Fillable Light Bulb Ornament (I used these but these would work well too)

+ A Gift Tag, Small Card, or Recipe Card

To "Garnish" The Gift --

+ Cookie Cutter (I used this set)

+ Christmas Bakers Twine (this)

+ Fun Yarn or Ribbon

Instructions

+ Open the cake mix & pour into the jar.

+ Fill the lightbulb ornament with an array of sprinkles

(You could also skip the ornament and add the sprinkles (recipe = 1/4 cup) to the top of the cake mix in the jar to create a sprinkle layer).

+ Write the recipe instructions (below) onto a recipe card or gift tag.

+ Tie the lightbulb ornament and recipe card to your jar. Add some extra layers of ribbon or yarn & tie on the cookie cutter too if you'd like.

Funfetti Cake Mix Cookies

Servings2 dozen

Ingredients

• 1 box Funfetti Cake Mix
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 2 large eggs
• 1 t vanilla extract
• 1/4 cup sprinkles

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl mix cake mix, oil, eggs and vanilla until blended. Fold in sprinkles.

3. Scoop out dough and place on baking sheet, spacing about 1 1/2 inches apart. 

4. Bake on the center rack for 10-13 minutes.

5. Remove from oven, allow to cool & enjoy!
