Weekend Vibes - 4.15.16

Apr 20, 2016

Hi! Here with a weekend update. Mine was a productive one full of time spent outdoors. My mom came into town to visit and I loved having her as my sidekick. My weekend could be broken down into 3 basic categories, as follows.

Yard work + planting + DIYs >>
I'm slowly working to clean out plant beds, plant container gardens, plant new shrubs and re-vamp my back patio into an oasis (more on that later).

planting new plants and re-planting old ones. {sources > the three pots - At Home, milk glass -thrifted, and baskets - Three Sheep Shack}

two new shrubs going into my flower bed

I finished chalkpainting my thrifted dining chairs for my dining room. I still need to thrift & paint one more- there is a bench that matches my table on the side against the wall. I used Amy Howard On Step Paint in "a good man is hard to find".

Supporting Local >>
My mom & I dined at two local spots

we had dinner on Bradden's patio and soaked up the 70+ degree weather. Now that I live close to St. Charles, I plan to explore the downtown/main street area. So many charming boutiques and restaurants. A new spot for my Embrace MO list.

my mama bear (ha, get it?) and I had brunch at the Companion West Campus (which I love!)

  2. We have been doing so much work in the yard too. I'll be happy when we start adding stone and new plants! I love your dining room table!
