Another new month has arrived & while I am sad to see October go, November is a good one too! The start of holiday season, gathering with family and keeping cozy. Each month I compile a list of five various things I recommend trying -- these include anything from DIYs, book recommendations, sips, recipes, and new restaurants/events for St. Louis locals.
So, let's get to it ---
1. Send thanks
tis' the season, right? Why not sit down and write out some thank you cards - just because. Thank friends, family, co-workers, whoever for all they do for you with a few words of gratitude. Everyone loves getting mail! Tip :: my favorite spot for stationary is Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Home Goods -- the cutest stuff for cheap!
2. Read Only Love Today
this is the start to a season of go-go-go....so take a bit of time in your evenings to slow down -- this book promises a reminder to breathe more, stress love and choose love. I just snagged it from the library and am enjoying it so far. It's such an easy one to pick up and read a little bit at a time.
3. Reassess where your new-year intentions
with two months left in 2017, it's a good time to see how far you came with your intentions and what you'd still like to accomplish this year -- make the most of it!
4. Plan a Fall picnic
the Cattleman and I had a farm picnic on our Summer Bucket List but never made it happen. I'm hoping to squeeze one in this Fall as long as we find a day that's not too chilly. How cute is this Fall picnic natalie and her husband had in the park?
5. Sneak away for a weekend
grab a girlfriend, your S.O., your mom, whoever...sneak away for a day or two - I think renting a cabin for two would be a fun way to unplug and embrace Fall. there are tons of affordable options on Airbandb. If you're a STL local - how cute is this cabin?!

Love all these! I need to get better at sending snail mail! And a fall picnic sounds so perfect!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it - hopefully the temps cooperate.
DeleteGreat list! I've been wanting to get a few of my girlfriends all together and rent a cabin for a weekend. It might not happen before the holidays, but hopefully once life slows down for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea - would be a fun idea for the new year!
DeleteWould love to hear from you!
