9 and 10 of 15 // Mai Lee + Peacemaker

Dec 22, 2015

I tried Mai Lee about a month ago with some co-workers for lunch. That place stays packed constantly. I will say you get a lot of food for the price tag with the lunch specials. I probably wouldn't get the dish I had again, but I did love their crab rangoon.

This past Friday my friend and I went to the Brewery Lights and then popped into Peacemaker after. We sat at the bar and were completely smitten with the ambiance. At first glimpse I saw the white washed walls, exposed brick, a raw bar. A closer look and I saw art featuring fishermen in their natural habitats & eclectic metal light fixtures (think wash tubs). I enjoyed the Louie cocktail (featuring some ginger, cucumber, and cayenne pepper), hush puppies and the shrimp poor boy. I'll certainly be returning. Such charming curb appeal
