Friday -- Veteran's Day - Off Work
I had the day off & started it out by heading to breakfast back home with my Mom. We went to the one restaurant in town- It was packed with hunters donned in camo with their 4-wheelers and ATVs loaded up in their trucks. Opening day of rifle season for deer is big in my hometown, the town was buzzing with energy like it was Christmas morning. I spent the rest of the day hanging out back at my parent's farm and running errands with my Mom. Then I rounded out the day with a fire pit night.
Saturday -- Supporting Local
Saturday I ran over to the Long Row Lavender Holiday Open House with my Mom. We have Three Sheep Shack product that retails there, so we wanted to check that out along with their offerings and holiday decor. I had a cup of their lavender hot cocoa- this will be a must for me this season, so good! We each bought this tee- Grace Changes Everything.
We don't decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but it was sure fun to see all the holiday decor up in the barn there at the lavender farm. So, warning...Christmas decor ahead >>
That night I headed to Hannibal to have a date night at Mark Twain Brewing Company. This was the 4th new (to-me) Missouri brewery in 2016 (my goal is 6 in 2016). We started by sharing a flight with our dinner and then headed upstairs for more beer (Jumping Frog IPA for me) and live music. I was in heaven. The music was so good. Word is that artist will be back on Feb 4th!

Sunday -- Simple
I spent time with my mom and then the boy. We ended the evening at his family's deer camp - i.e. hanging out in a shed, eating loads of fried food and sipping beer. I had some City Wide by Four Hands and they were saying it's probably the first craft beer that shed has ever seen, ha! It was a great, simple Sunday.{I treated myself to these shoes & this cozy, plaid throw -I really want this pillow also}

I love the decor inside the boutique. My mom and I were window shopping today at Hobby Lobby, trying to get Christmas ideas. Seems like everyone is decorating for Christmas so early this year.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the perfect weekend!
