A long, holiday weekend is a magical thing. Sundays that feel like Saturdays, and short work weeks to follow. I loved everything about my Labor Day Weekend and I wanted to pop in and do a quick re-cap.
Friday :: we took the Cattleman's grandma out to celebrate her 86th birthday! We ventured to Trailhead Brewery & Ameristar Casino. Recently her ladies group had gone to the casino when she was busy and she was bummed to have missed out, so I suggested we go for her birthday, and that we did! No one was a big winner but we all had a good time.
Saturday :: the Cattleman and I went pickin in the morning. I got a desk, table and dresser. I plan to chalkpaint all 3 items -- one will go in the Three Sheep Shack pop up shop, one the Cattleman claimed and one I'll keep for my home. Then we were off to my Aunt's for a pool party +bbq. My aunt surprised me with these Lucky booties in taupe for an early birthday gift! After dinner we headed to the Cattleman's farm to unwind.
Sunday :: hog roast day -- the Cattleman and his friends + family host a hog roast every year on the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. This year it was hosted at the Cattleman's place -- so we got up, ran some errands and starting set up + food prep! There were about 60 people who showed up and it was a nice day for being outside, dining on bbq and hanging out with friends.
Monday :: I spent some bonding time with my momma. We opened a pop-up shop for Three Sheep Shack in a local salon & spent Monday setting it up. We don't know what will come from this, but our space is just the right size for us and we are having fun with it. I want to dedicate a full post to this, so I'll keep things brief. You can check out some details here.
I was unplugged for most of the weekend so all I have to share are a few pictures I took in snapchat. Have a great work week!
