Friday Best -- 1st in November

Nov 3, 2017

Goodness! We are in the 11th month of 2017. It's time to evaluate goals for 2017 and maybe set some new ones for the rush of holiday season. I'm looking forward to this month and all that is to come. This weekend will be low-key - I'm heading out to the Cattleman's farm tonight and plan to be out that way for the weekend. We have a date night on the schedule tonight along with a family birthday party tomorrow. Other than that, I plan to soak up the warmer temps this weekend.
Let's start off the bests today with a look at the best plans of the month-- other bests include gatherings, recipes and reads.

Best November plans ::
celebrate Cletus' 1st birthday / girls' night to see A Bad Moms Christmas / a Three Sheep Shack local craft event / My friend Erika's wedding(!!) / Thanksgiving / my birthday bonfire party (woot!) / a baby shower

Best gathering
This Fall gathering is everything. I would love to host simple, outdoor gatherings like this in my future. My back patio would be a perfect setting for an intimate dinner...I may have missed the window on weather that's warm enough to do so this year.

Best new recipe
I made a chicken & broccoli casserole this week and enjoyed it. I set a goal to make one new recipe a month (attainable, right?) - well.. I've only made 5 new ones so far..so I am going to be mindful of working in new recipes for the remainder of the year instead of always grabbing the old stand-by's at the grocery store.

Best addition to the Shack
We have crochet stockings and I am obsessed with the chunky look of these. I'm requesting a set of oatmeal colored stockings to hang from my shiplap coat rack. love. love. love.

Best read
I picked up Only Love Today from the library this week and am enjoying it thus far!
