Weekend Vibes -- Full heart + Birthday celebration

Feb 20, 2018

Gosh, it's been forever since I truly re-capped a weekend. This weekend was a good one that left my heart feeling full. My weekend started out by getting to leave work early (always a great surprise) and then the Cattleman and I had a fun date night.

Saturday was one of those leisurely ones...we slept in, made breakfast, and then heading out to check cattle. February is "calving season" for the Cattleman so he has to keep an extra close eye on the mamas and babes. I love seeing all the new calves on the farm -- he's up to about 15 right now!

There was a new one Saturday morning and he had to give a little extra TLC to the first time mom and calf. It's truly heart-warming to see how much tender care farmers provide for their livestock and farms. It was a cold, windy, snowy day and he was bundled up outside for hours making sure things went smooth for these two. Definitely a passion! This little lady wouldn't leave her hill and I loved the silhouette it created.

Later on Saturday we had a 30th celebration for my cousin, Krystal. It was so fun! We went to a roller rink + a local bar for live music. It was fun to party with family and friends to celebrate her - she deserves it! I got her these rings with her boys' names and she loved them!

My two favorite Daniels (brother on the left + fiance on the right) celebrating on Saturday.

On Sunday we did a walk through at the local hall where our reception will be to get an idea of setup + layout. Then I ran errands and had a cozy night in with a tasty homecooked meal. Here's my $4 candle holder (that retails for $19 at Target) from Goodwill + some $4 florals that set the Sunday evening mood. We also worked on save the Date info and rounded out the evening with Grace & Frankie.

With all of life's happenings, I'll have a bit less time for this space, but I still want to post wedding + life updates. I also have a re-brand up my sleeve before the end of the year. Stay tuned!
