Back to the weekend. Friday started out in the office with a bloody mary bar, mimosas and breakfast. We only worked until noon & then the weekend was calling.
I ran some errands after work to prep for the lake. I popped into TJMAXX and snagged that adorable beach tote above for $25!! It seems to be the exact dupe for this one Andrea has from Anthro that's 78...
On Friday evening we left for the lake to celebrate Danny's cousin's 30th. A gorgeous house on the water, a good group and plenty of adult beverages made for a fun weekend.
It's not a birthday post without a funny picture of the birthday boy - This unicorn float was quite the hit - we named her Buttercup. He's the one in front - Danny & I are swimming in the background.
We got back to the farm Sunday afternoon & took it easy. Lounging, meal planning, bbq-ing and doing our workbook questions for our meeting tomorrow with our priest.
This week will be full of work, orange theory, and hopefully unpacking + organizing. I have no weekend plans and am looking forward to being productive & sticking around the house.

That unicorn is the best ever.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new job! How exciting!
It was quite the hit - Thanks, exciting, bittersweet, scary - all the emotions.
DeleteThis sounds like the perfect little getaway. My college roommate's family had a summer home at the Ozarks and spoke SO highly of it, I'm sure this was such a great time for you guys.
ReplyDeleteSuper jealous of your no weekend plans! That's going to be so great especially after this week of closing things out at your current job and before you start the new one. Can't wait to hear how it goes! xo
Yea, it's a lake with a lot to offer. We had a great time.
DeleteYes, glad to take it easy & have a productive weekend. Luckily I have a week off between gigs - such a blessing!
What a cute tote and awesome price you got on it! Looks like you guys had a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteYea, it will be perfect on our honeymoon too! It was - thank you!
DeleteThat unicorn was awesome! My parents live on a lake and have one of those floating islands but I think the kids would really love the unicorn! I am following you from Lindsay - you can follow back if you choose at Annster's Domain
ReplyDeleteThere are so many float options these days - you definitely need one!
DeleteI live in the midwest (Central, IL) and have to be honest ... I have NEVER been to the lake of the ozarks. Honestly, it seems to be becoming a bit of a tourist trap. Almost all of my co-workers go down there for summer weekends. I actually prefer to go to the mountains when I get vacation. Have you guys ever been to the mountains? Have you decided on a honeymoon location yet?
ReplyDeleteWould love to hear from you!
