We are currently 16 weeks along and due on August 26th.
We went to our first doctor appointment on January 23rd and learned that we were 9 weeks and two days along. We also learned that we had not one, but TWO, babies on the way.
So much for dipping our toe into the parenting waters. We are shocked, excited, nervous and feeling extra blessed!!!
So far I have been blessed to be feeling good and like myself. I'm so grateful for that as I know pregnancy (especially trimester 1) can be quite brutal for some. We just had our 16 week appointment ultrasound on Monday and both babies (we've dubbed them "the critters") are growing strong and healthy. We have decided to prolong the surprise of their genders and not find out until they make their big debut. I know....the suspense!!!!
We've definitely got our work cut out for us to prep for these little babes, but we make a good team and are up for the challenge. Luckily we have lots of family close by if we need to call in reinforcements. These babes are already so loved by us and so many others. Our twins will be the first grandchildren for both of our parents and they are all constantly beaming with pride. It's so special to witness.
As far as the blog goes, I always love reading other bloggers' "bumpdates" and hope to share some here to look back on. We are so excited for this journey and I am excited to bring the blog along for a bit of the ride.
xx

DeleteWOW! Major congrats to you. How fun that you're waiting to be surprised by the genders! We found out as early as possible with both of our little men because we had no patience. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! It's going to be a challenge because we are so curious, but we are hoping to make it to the end!
DeleteSHUT UP. I'm so excited for you both!! This is the best news! I can't wait to read along on this journey! And I'm soooo excited you're waiting to find out the gender. It's definitely what I want to do. I think it's so special to wait. Ah, congratulations!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! It was something we planned to do when we thought it was one babe, and now that it is two we are sticking to it. It's touch because we are sooo curious, but we like the idea of drawing out the surprise.
DeleteWould love to hear from you!
