I love supporting local and checking out new spots in my city - restaurants, breweries, shops, or events. As you would expect, the New in the Lou series is one to showcase new or coming soon spots in St. Louis.

Copper Pig has been on my list since I heard it was coming to the Macklind District. I stopped in with a friend a couple weeks ago and was impressed with the atmosphere, offerings and service. I started off with a Citradelic by New Belgium and we split an order of Beet Fries (so good!) and Deviled Eggs (okay). I then ordered the Avocado Tacos for my main course (seen above) and I was a big fan. I highly recommend heading to Copper Pig, while you're in the Macklind District you could also pop into Grapeseed or Russell's on Macklind- Two more of my favorites.

I have now tried two new resturants in 2016, so I'm cruising through my intention to Embrace MO & hit 6 new spots in 2016.
